Devin Malin walked into Mrs. Darbin's sixth grade classroom a totally different boy than had left only yesterday. His clothes were all black, his hood pulled over his head, and it even looked like his hair had been dyed black. All of the children in the room stopped mid-conversation, mouths gaping open and eyes wide in shock. This new style was nothing that could have been predicted for Devin, a shy and timid child who usually looked like his mother had dressed him.
He was always in the back of the class, but he never really talked to anyone in the room. Though there was a "no bullying" policy in place at Johnson Middle School, Devin was

He gently shook her shoulder, trying to wake her without scaring her. Not the best way to wake someone that had a reputation for violent retribution for being awoken too early, but he had to try. He continued trying to wake her the easy way, but she wasn't very responsive to gentle methods. He didn't really want to wake her up and risk getting hit in the groin. He needed that area later in his life. She was completely oblivious, and he was guessing that she wouldn't wake up anytime soon. Just figures that everyone would ask him to wake up the one girl that he was in love with...

She was jerked awake from a sound sleep by a small noise. Blinking sleepily, she sat up and peered into the darkness of her room. Seeing and hearing nothing, she laid back down and tried to go back to sleep. A few moments later, she heard it again: a small squeak, like a floorboard being stepped on. Before she could open her eyes, something huge jumped on top of her. It used its legs to pin her, and one hand was pressed against her mouth, preventing any screams from being heard. It quickly grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head, then tied them to her headboard.

Ok, I promise I will be submitting the prologue soon. There has been a lot more work this semester than I had anticipated, and i has kept me from what I really want to write. I may post some of my Creative Writing pieces as well, if you guys want to see that. But it's up to you :) My spring break is coming up, and I might be posting some drawings...I haven't decided yet. I might want to keep that horror to myself for a while longer :P
So I think that I will be doing one of those fun multi-chaptered stories that are so common online :) I would like to get this published one day and I'd like to see some of the general thoughts on the story and get some basic feedback as it progresses :D I think I should have the prologue posted soon, and depending on the reactions from that, I'll either continue on, or kill it lol. I don't wanna give too much info out here, but I hope you like the story :D Thanks guys!!
